On the front with two color fades, layers and textures, this is a remix of an older design that needed a fresh breath and to live on. The clock reads 5:28, which was my step brother’s birthday. When I created the original design I had been thinking about how much time had passed since we were kids. The complementary design wraps the clock with blessings, supporting the transition to other realms.
On the back, Fade 2 Black is a repeated pattern design inspired by the Merkaba symbol. This symbol has a variety of meanings and to me represents the union of spirit and body surrounded by light. This is the first geometric pattern print I have created that breaks the grid on the sides, adding a natural flow element to the art.
